Assimilation to what order?

Everyday we witness Assimilation from us as teenagers trying to fit in with cliques or adults with business jobs seeking out approval from there boss. Beneatha Younger from the play A Raisin in the sun, does not only seek out approval from society and at least the supportiveness from her family would be nice. Being African American in this time period can be a result were she is taken lightly and not seriously, her family does not give her any support what so ever besides mama paying for her schooling, most people back then beleived that woman were to take care if the children and clean.

Beneatha being the character that she is and not wanting to show that she has black heritage and in a way acting or portraying her self to be white. That being said Asagui mentions to her when he visits her at the apartment that she shouldn't do her hair like everyone else she is beautiful the way she is. Well not in that context but in words to that meaning. So the real question here is have you seen assimilation? Of course we've all have theres no use in lying.

Noted of a Native Spealer by Eric Lui came to the United States to study in college, spending time here he fit in with some crowds influencing the way he acted at home and the way he acted at school. Spending most of his time with his white friends he noticed well they ate and how wxpensive there food was when at home it was rather different including his education taught back at home. In conclusion assimilation can affect everyone in different ways be it good or bad.

My family first or me?

We can all say that are family's are the most important and best thing in our life, but honestly we got to admit that we have a little voice in the back of our heads that's saying '' just do it, it will benefit you more in the end". But we don't listen to our inner voice, why? Because consciously we choose the right thing that will help the family and that includes you in it.

A strong and loving family is what makes you as a character and personality, but my family always comes first, they are people I can rely on when I need guidance or I cant solve a conflict. When problems arise, you turn to your closest friends and they give you advice but really in the end the your family is with you through thick and thin they will always be there to catch you when you fall Family is what will shape you into self individuals who will achieve and become something that our society has a lack of there of or will be a wonderful asset.

We will always have arguments with our fsmilys but in the end we make up, but family always comes first no matter what.
